City of Galveston Permits
In a letter from the City of Galveston to the PCTH Association President:

This is a reminder that any changes in plumbing fixtures, as well as any remodeling affecting plumbing fixtures, must be done with City of Galveston permits. These permits are obtained by your plumbing contractor from the Public Works Department at Room 402, Galveston City Hall.

If you have any questions, you may contact our plumbing inspector at 409.797.3529, or me at 409.797.3585

Water Heater Safety Message
As you all know, the PCTH complex was build in the mid-1980's and we are beginning to see failures with the water heater systems and connections. These failures can cause significant damage to walls and ceilings if breaches are not addressed in a timely manner.

The PCTH Board highly recommends that you have your water heater system and associated connections checked by a reliable plumber and make plans to repair or replace the water heater and/or connections, as needed.

West Isle Urgent Care
A new medical facility has recently opened in Galveston - West Isle Urgent Care - located at 2027 61st Street @ Heards Lane, which is just past Offat's Bayou. They are open daily from 9am to 7pm and can be reached by phone at 409.744.9800

For any life-threatening conditions, you should call 911. The PCTH complex is located at the corner of Dana Drive and Stewart Road. If you are giving directions, you should mention that the complex is next to the Galveston Country Club, because Dana Drive is a private road and is not shown on a key map.
